How We Build Better Men

Community Engagement & Service

At Bridges of Hope, recovery isn’t just about sobriety—it’s about becoming a positive force in the community. Our residents grow through meaningful service, building skills, confidence, and connections along the way.

Our Service in Action

  • Hope Street Rest Stop
Providing meals, clothing, and encouragement to those experiencing homelessness.

    Food Security Efforts
Partnering with local food banks to ensure families in need have access to healthy food.

    Community Beautification
Joining neighborhood cleanups and seasonal projects to keep public spaces welcoming.

    Charity & Event Support
Helping at fundraisers, resource drives, and local charitable events.

    Helping Neighbors in Need
Assisting elderly and disabled neighbors with yard work, repairs, and maintenance.

    Civic Engagement
Attending community meetings and collaborating with local leaders to address shared needs. Our residents also share their personal recovery stories with local and regional decision-makers, showing firsthand the impact and importance of recovery housing.

  • Peer Support & Mentorship

Residents and staff informally mentor others in recovery outside your own facility, extending the social model into the wider community.

  • Workforce Readiness & Skills Development

Many of your residents participate in structured training—like resume building, interview preparation, and job skills—which directly benefits the community as they reenter the workforce.

  • Bridges Thrift Store
Operating our thrift store at 284 W. Astor, Colville, which provides affordable goods to the community and vital funding for our recovery programs—powered by donations from generous neighbors. When you shop, donate, or volunteer, you directly help men in recovery rebuild their lives.

Our Good Neighbor Promise

We model the respect, trust, and helpful spirit we all want in a neighbor. Our residents contribute to a peaceful, safe, and connected community by:

  • Respecting property and keeping our spaces clean

  • Being mindful of noise and traffic

  • Following through on commitments

  • Offering a helping hand when needed
